Dr. Rubina Waseem is an Assistant Professor in the Centre for International Peace & Stability (CIPS) at the National University of Science & Technology (NUST), earlier she was an Assistant Professor in National Defence University for 6 years. She is a former research fellow of The George Washington University Washington DC. She holds an M.Phil and M.Sc degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad. Her interest areas are Foreign Policy, Space Technology, Nuclear Export Control Regimes, Nuclear proliferation Issues, International Security, Strategic Studies, Contemporary Security Issues, International Law and Research Methodology. She has a strong background of research & training in the field of strategic and security studies; and more than ten years of teaching experience in the renowned universities of the capital city of Pakistan. She has published several articles in international and national journals and contributed a book chapter titled “US-China Strategic Competition: Through the Matrix of Complex Interdependence,” in the book titled “China in the Indo-Pacific: Maneuvers and Manifestations,” published by Palgrave Macmillan. She has participated in several international and national conferences and presented her research work on security and strategic issues.
