Major General (Retd.) Samrez Salik HI(M)

Former DG ISSRA

Major General (Retd.) Muhammad Samrez Salik, HI(M) was commissioned in 10 Medium Regiment Artillery in March 1985. The General is a graduate of Command and Staff College and National Defence University Islamabad. He holds a Masters in Warfare, Defence and Strategic Studies. During his 29 years of service, the General has served on number of Command, Staff and Instructional appointments, as well as United Nations Military Observer. His previous appointment was Vice Chief of General Staff at General Headquarters Rawalpindi. The General had also served as Director General Institute of Strategic Studies & Research Analysis, National Defence University Islamabad. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D Degree from NDU.

Ali Muhammad Khan

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs

Ali Muhammad Khan is a Pakistani politician who is the current Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, in office since 17 September 2018. He is currently a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, since August 2018. He is a Lawyer by profession. Previously he was a member of the National Assembly from June 2013 to May 2018

Previously she was a member of the National Assembly from June 2013 to May 2018. Zulfiqar is known as an inspiration to many women out there for launching her own business and being a successful politician all without the support of her husband, and was recently mentioned in Forbes Top 100 Successful Women of Pakistan

Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui

Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui is the Federal Secretary (IT & Telecommunication). He served as the Assistant Commissioner and Registrar Cooperative Societies, Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation and Karachi Development Authority. Mr. Siddiqui has also served as the Additional Secretary to the Government of Sindh in the Education and Literacy Department.

Ahmer Bilal Soofi

Former Caretaker Minister & Lawyer

Mr. Ahmer Bilal Soofi is a renowned Pakistani Lawyer. He served as the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights, in the caretaker government in 2013. Mr. Soofi was also a member of the Advisory Committee to the United Nations Human Rights Council and is currently a senior partner of a Law firm namely, ABS&Co.

Dr. Aneel Salman

HOD Department of Management Sciences

Dr. Aneel Salman serves as the Head of Department at the Department of Management Sciences, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT). He has also served at the GIK Institute of Engineering Science and Technology as the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences and Humanities. Mr. Salman is also serving as the Course Instructor Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD).

Fauzia Nasreen

Ambassador (Retd) , Advisor SDGs

Ms. Fauzia Nasreen is a former Pakistani Ambassador. She joined the diplomatic service in 1973 and rose to be the country’s ambassador to Nepal and Poland. After her retirement from the foreign services, Ms. Nasreen served as a visiting faculty at various universities. She currently serves as the Advisor (SDGs) at the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS).

Rosheen Hussain Syed

Rosheen Hussain Syed serves as Deputy Commissioner-Inland Revenue at the Federal Board of Revenue. She has a major in Economics and a vast experience in managing the tax compliance of big corporations. A staunch advocate of keeping Human Security as the foremost consideration in Government policies, she believes in employing ethical considerations in tax practice and brings forth a fresh perspective in promoting  human security in Pakistan through justice and fairness in revenue administration.

Shafqat Kakakhel

Mr. Shafqat Kakakhel is a former Pakistani diplomat. He currently serves as the Chairperson, Board of Governors, Sustainable Development Policy Institute in Pakistan since 2009. Mr. kakakhel has formerly served as the UN Assistant Secretary General at the UN Environment Programme. He was elected President of the UNEP Governing Council in May 1995.

Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal

Professor of International Politics at Quaid-I-Azam University

Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal is a Professor of International Politics at the School of Politics and International Relations, Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad.

Dr. Jaspal was the Director of the School of Politics and International from October 5, 2012, to January 18, 2016. Before joining the University, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad and Islamabad Policy Research Institute, Islamabad, Pakistan

Dr. Jaspal research interests include Pakistan's National Security, Proliferation of nuclear weapons and missile systems, particularly in South Asia, Arms Control/Disarmament, and Nuclear Nonproliferation regime. He is a prolific writer. His latest published book is India's Surgical Strike Stratagem: Brinksmanship and Responses (April 2019).

Dr. Jaspal, as a Guest Speaker/Visiting Lecturer, had delivered and continues to give lectures at many professional and training institutions, including distinguished NATO School, Oberammergau, Germany; NATO Defense College Rome, Italy, Center of Excellence: Defence against Terrorism, Ankara, Turkey; National Security & War Courses of Pakistan's National Defence University; Foreign Service Academy, Islamabad, Intelligence Bureau Academy, Command and Staff College Quetta; Naval War College, Lahore, Air War College, Karachi.

Dr. Talat Shabbir

Director China-Pakistan Study Centre

Dr. Talat Shabbir is Director China-Pakistan study Centre at Institute of strategic studies, Islamabad, where he oversees research and advocacy on all facets of Pakistan-China relations. He holds PhD in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He has M Phil in International Relations from University of Karachi, Masters in International Relations from University of Balochistan and Masters in Political Science from University of Punjab. His research areas are Pakistan, South Asia, Belt and Road Initiative, CPEC and Pakistan-China relations. Dr. Talat has been a visiting scholar at Sigur Centre for Asian Studies, George Washington University, USA. He has been on the faculty of Institute of Strategic Studies Research and Analysis (ISSRA), National Defence University (NDU) where he was responsible to conduct national security workshop and national media workshop. Besides editing a quarterly magazine for China Pakistan Study Centre, he regularly contributes to national as well as international newspapers on issues of domestic, regional and global political issues and participates in panel discussions on various TV channels focusing on issues impacting Pakistan. Dr. Talat Shabbir has authored a book titled “Creating Shared Futures, Pakistan-China: A Journey of Trust and Friendship” and has edited a book titled “Higher than Karakoram: Seven Decades of Pakistan-China Partnership”. Besides, Dr. Talat also has literary interests and has two books to his credit, a book of short stories and a collection of selected poetry. Dr. Talat Shabbir has diverse experience of management, administration, public relations, advocacy, HR and media.

Dr. Mubashir Mushtaq Daha

Dr. Mubashir Mushtaq Daha is a mid-level manager in NAVTTC (Prime Minister's Office). He has done his MBBS from Nishtaw Medical College Multan and Master Of Science in Public Health from Health Services Academy (HSA) Quaid-e-Azam Univeristy, Islamabad. He has an excellent experience in project management, M&E and coordination. He is supporting the organization in his voluntary capacity as Member of the Advisory Board. He looks after the institutional Linkages in the sectors of Education, Public Health and Skill Development.
