On 25^th November, 2019, last year Prime Minister Imran Khan launched Clean Green Pakistan Index initiative not only to improve the overall outlook of nineteen cities of Punjab and KPK but also to fight environmental degradation for the future of Pakistan. On Monday, 19^th October, 2020, PM Imran Khan attended the Award Ceremony of Clean Green Pakistan Index. Two measures of Government were announced that is to clean cities and generate electricity through solid waste. PM also urged people to participate in tree plantation, the reason behind the initiative is to introduce sense of competition on cleanliness in the cities and facilitate citizens with better hygiene and sanitation facilities.
