The President of Pakistan has approved the anti-rape ordinance 2020. A national registry of sexual offenders shall be established with Nadra, and the repeat offenders would be chemically castrated. Special courts for the speedy trial with four months deadline and Prime Minister`s Anti-Rape crisis cells to be established. The ordinance has explicitly prohibited making public the identity of rape victims.
