THSI Attended Kashmir Committee Meeting At Parliament House Today

Pakistan should enhance presence of its narrative on Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir regionally and globally using the latest digital tools: says Rafique Ahmed Qureshi

The 19th meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir chaired by Honorable Mr. Shehryar Afridi was held earlier today at the Parliament House Islamabad. The Human Security Institute (THSI) led by DG THSI, Mr. Rafique Ahmed Qureshi participated in the meeting of the Kashmir Parliamentary Committee as observer.

On this occasion MNA & Chairman Kashmir Committee Mr. Shehryar Khan Afridi affirmed the stance of Government of Pakistan that they stand in support with the people of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir post illegal and unilateral accession of 5th August.

He focused on the need of countering the Indian narrative on Kashmir globally using the digital and innovative tools. He welcomed all the members of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee on this occasion and urged all the members to work together to move effectively towards better representation of Pakistan narrative on Kashmir effective from the platform of Parliament and Kashmir Committee.

DG THSI, Mr. Rafique Ahmed Qureshi added on this occasion that Pakistan should enhance presence of its narrative on Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir regionally and globally using the latest digital tools. He further added that it is also important to digitally represent the stories of prosperity in Azad Jammu & Kashmir to sensitize global communities on the Indian abuse of human rights in the other hand in occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

The participants of the meeting included members of national assembly, senate, ministries, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and digital experts from the IT sector.
